Nous avons séjourné 3 nuit à la VVL. L'accueil est impeccable, la chambre confortable et la décoration est soignée et agréable. Un seul petit bémol, l'insonorisation du sol de la chambre au dessus de la nôtre. Malgré cela, je recommande cet établissement.

Je me deux étoiles. La déco de la chambre est bien, je n’ai rien à dire. En revanche on entend tout ce qui se passe c’est très mal isolé, j’entends les gens passer, j’entends les gens marcher par rapport au petit déjeuner un mangeable et yaourt ils étaient déjà ouvert un pain qui est tellement dur un mangeable et pas de choix ni de quantité. Ça décrit comme quoi le parking il est proche mais il est à 1 kg kilomètre, 10 minutes en voiture, je ne reviendrai pas et je ne recommande pas.

Nadie al volante. Sin ascensor, sin recepcionista, sin maquina de café, pese a que te le ofrecen. Habitación correcta, resto un desastre.

Magnifique endroit au cœur du quartier saint Seurin de Bordeaux, idéalement situé , décoré avec goût, literie très confortable nous reviendrons avec plaisir!!!

Highs and lows at Villa Victor Louis. Very charming villa in a quiet neighborhood in Bordeaux. The receptionist was very helpful, she offered to handle our reservation for a nearby parking when we arrived. Also recommended parking in the street since it was free on weekends. Breakfast is more on the simple side, missing warm dishes. On another note, we were in room “Odilon Redon 5”, the room was comfortable and the bed was superb, but the bathroom shower had low pressure and it was more on the cold side, should be fixed ASAP… can’t imagine dealing with that in winter weather. TIP: if you turn on hot water on the sink, the shower starts running a little warmer.

Très bel endroit, bien situé ! Charmante décoration ambiance château , très bonne literie et détail sur le salon qui est aussi magnifique. Cependant petit point négatif, pas vraiment d’eau chaude pour la douche… plutôt froide ce qui est quand même dommage. Mais le lieu est vraiment jolie et atypique pour retrouver une déco de princesse dans des chambres superbes. Merci pour l’accueil

It was an incredible stay—it’s like sleeping in a museum. The owners took care of every single detail to make you feel this amazing atmosphere. They’re the kindest and most friendly people, and they treat you like you’re at home. As for comfort, it’s 100% everything is impeccable and simply beautiful. We loved having breakfast on their gorgeous terrace, always with ambient and elegant music. Thank you so much! We’ll come back every time we stay in Bordeaux.

We booked a suite, that had no cutlery, no kettle, no tea and no coffee. Tea and coffee charged separately for terrible machine produced artefacts that taste like tissue. Massie May and Juliet at the reception were the only thing redemptive. As a world traveller, I was disappointed with this hotel because of the huge disparity between the photos on their website and the room and facilities actually provided. To be fair, the reception staff were fantastic and frinedly and the lobby was elegantly furnished. My wife and I had a superior room for 4 nights and it fell short of expectations for the following reasons: 1. Steep and narrow staricase with shabby carpet to reach the second floor, 2. The bath room and toliet at two ends of the room, 3. No kettle in the room, 4. No sofa or easy chair to relax, 5. Bare minimum toiletries (only shower gel and shampoo) with disfunctional dispensers, 6. Lack of cleanliness-dust accumulated in the corners and lumps of hair in two places, 7. tl;dr: Hotel locked us out in the middle of the night (the reception closes at 7 PM and access is through an electronic keypad); ghosted us for a week; and refused to compensate for the night at another hotel we had to pay for so we wouldn't sleep on the street. Would not recommend staying here! Here are the full details, from the email I sent to the manager, Hélène, the day after: "Yesterday night, my partner and I were locked out of Villa Victor Louis after we returned from attending a wedding due to the keypad being dead. It was 2 AM. The streets were desolate, and our phones' batteries were low. We tried calling the hotel number again and again, hearing silence on the other end and seeing "Call Failed" notice after notice. We texted friends to ask them (and the French wedding planner)…

A 2* hotel with 4* prices. While the hotel staff members were friendly and welcoming, the hotel itself is worn and unclean. The floors and carpets are visibly dirty. The trouble continued into the room. The Bath towels were ripped, the bathrobes were stained, and the decorative pillows on the bed sorely needed to be washed. I even found used contact lenses on the floor of our bathroom. With a good scrub and some care, this hotel could be great, but left much to be desired as it currently stands.

Une expérience médiévale (et pas dans le bon sens) Si vous vous êtes déjà demandé ce que ça faisait de voyager avec un bébé au Xe siècle, cet hôtel est fait pour vous. On nous a installés dans la chambre la plus haute de l’établissement (appelons ça un château, parce que “hôtel”, c’est généreux), tout en haut, sans ascenseur bien sûr. Parfait pour faire trois étages avec une poussette, une valise, un enfant et le peu de patience qu’il nous restait. À notre arrivée, le décor était posé… avec deux ongles humains par terre dans la salle de bain. Top pour une initiation à la médecine légale, moins top quand on a un bébé qui rampe. Le petit-déjeuner ? Une vraie expérience sensorielle : la charcuterie avait une odeur entre “prête pour l’enterrement” et “déjà en décomposition active”. Spoiler :…

Une adresse à retenir! Tout était parfait. Mention spéciale pour le calme tout en étant en plein centre et surtout pour l’accueil.

Énorme déception. Totale inadéquation entre le standing voulu, le prix demandé et la qualité fournie. Nous sommes venus en famille (4 adultes et un bébé) et avons loué 2 chambres (appartement et studio) pour 3 nuits. Premier abord cordial avec la gérante mais nous sommes ensuite allés de déception en déception. L'entretien laisse clairement à désirer (poignée de la porte de douche manquante, douche qui déborde, moisissures apparentes, linge de bain troué, croûte de tartre au fond de la bouilloire, poubelle non vidée, robinetterie défaillante, toilettes de la réception pas entretenues, tapis crasseux, mauvaise odeur dans la chambre, etc.). Par ailleurs, au vu de certains commentaires précédents, des manquements relatifs à l'hygiène avaient déjà été portés à la connaissance de l'établisseme…

We had the loveliest stay in Bordeaux at Villa Victor Louis, which felt more like a luxurious B&B than a hotel. The house is situated on a quiet street that's close to shopping, restaurants, and sights, so you can walk or take the tram anywhere. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and breakfast is served in a charming conservatory that overlooks the garden in the back of the house. As wonderful as the hotel is, the best part was the staff. They are more than just professional--they are warm and hospitable and knowledgable about anything you'd want to know about Bordeaux. We loved our stay here, and we'd be happy to stay here again.
